Volunteer

All of our programs depend on volunteers to make them a success.  There is something for everyone that is willing to give a little of their time. Currently we are looking for volunteers in the following areas.

    1. Exercise/Sports program assistants: Work with our friends in exercise, sports and other physical activities. No prior experience is required (1 hour per week)
    2. Computer skills instructor: Assist our friends as they work to learn basic computer skills including word processing and spreadsheets. (2 hours per week)

Raise money for Stevens Center(Sanford NC) just by searching the web and shopping online!

It pays to use www.goodsearch.com as your search engine on the Internet.  After you log onto the site, enter Stevens Center as the organization you would like to support.  Then each time you perform a search, a small donation is accrued for the Stevens Center.  Yes, even pennies  can add up.

If you ever shop on-line, check out www.goodshop.com.  By going through this portal to get to the Internet shopping site you want, each purchase you make can result in a donation to the Stevens Center, without it costing you anything! 

Would you make one extra click to create a better community, to educate a person, to give a chance for an individual with a disability to be employed?   Would you make one extra click to support a place where anyone, of any ability or disability, is invited and welcome?

The next time you buy a new pair of shoes, book, computer, birthday present, flowers, plane ticket or just about anything else, go to GoodShop.com.

This is how it works:
            1.  Go to GoodShop.com
            2.  Select Stevens Center as the charity
            3.  Select the site you want to shop at (almost a thousand are participating)
            4.  After you get to the shopping page, do your shopping
            5.  Make your purchase, and feel good that you are supporting the Stevens Center!

You can do this from your home or business, since it costs you or your employer nothing.  For instance, whenever we purchase office supplies, we now first go through GoodShop.com.  From there we are linked to the same website as if we did not go through GoodShop.com.  We make our purchase, and then wait for a donation to be sent back to the Stevens Center from GoodShop.



If you use a Food Lion MVP shopper’s card, register to have a donation made to the Stevens Center as part of their Shop and Share program. 

This is how you do it:

  1. Select LionShop & Share
  2. Select Register MVP Card
  3. Choose Select Organization and select NC, Sanford, and Stevens Center as the charity
  4. Select Add MVP Cards and type in your name, phone number, and shopper card number (all 12 digits)
  5. Feel good that you are supporting the Stevens Center!

If you prefer, e-mail your name, phone number and shopper card number (all 12 digits) to office@stevenscenter.org and we will register for you.

 

Future Aids, The Braille Superstore The Braille Superstore

The Braille Superstore is a trusted resource where where people with visual impairments can purchase daily living aids, talking clocks and watches, Braille writing supplies, tactile games, Braille books, talking software, and so much more.

Future Aids will pay Stevens Center a 15% commission on all sales generated from our website. Just select Future Aids and do your shopping.

 

Select Cartridge Club Direct to buy toner cartridges for any printer. Cartridge Club will pay Stevens Center a 5% commission on all sales generated from our website.

All you need to do is:
1. Select Cartridge Club
2. Make your order
3. Type in the Stevens Center charity rebate code "CHARSTEVENS" when you check out.

You can also call in or fax an order. Be sure to specify Stevens Center charity rebate code: CHARSTEVENS.
